Major Catch UP and Announcements
There has been some great racing going on at BTP, and it’s only getting better. Everyone keep your eyes open for some new developments as the site and this racing community is going a little more serious, and committed to racing. www.ExtremeSimRacing.com
Here is a quick recap of the races and the victors:
Back In Black – Nascar COT
Smoke has been on a tear, first winning Sonoma with a wide margin and then the most recent race at Daytona (not so wide of a margin). The win at Daytona would have been three in a row if it wasn’t for the tremendous effort and win by Kater in New Hampshire. It was a stellar race, Kater qualified on the pole and ran at the front the entire day. In the closing laps, despite the charges from behind, Kater kept the door shut to bring home his first BTP Back in Black series victory.
PCC Mobil Super Cup Series
Vesa has been keeping it up at the front with 2 wins in the last 4 races. Racebandit has been charging with strong runs, but unfortunately a few connection problems has kept him from being there at the end. But he stayed connected and rolled to victory at the most recent event at Brands Hatch Long. Great job all, keep it up!
Racing Continues for this upcoming weekend, Nascar Saturday night and PCC’s Sunday. Good luck all and keep visiting the site to stay up to date on the changes and improvements. Thank you to all racers for making this site and community what it is, can’t wait to see what develops next.

SlapStick Out Runs the Field at Michigan
Last night's race at Michigan was just excellent, close battles, long green runs, just great racing all around.
The high speed track located near Detroit is wide and yields some great racing. Drafting will be a factor, but that's only if your car handles the turn well enough to keep up to draft. Solo qualifying again yielded some tense moments, and really showed the quality of racers involved; on the long 2 mile track the entire field was separated by less than a second.
Things started off a little shaky, a few spins and yellows, then led to some more yellows. But before long, the racing was underway and green flag duels began. Early it was difficult to tell as several cars looked to be strong. But from about mid-point on, Slapstick really showed some muscle, running away a few times from the pack after restarts. With the cars getting about 20-21 laps on a full tank of fuel, the yellow came out as the field was on lap 79. Everyone came in and hoped the yellow laps would allow the petrol to last till the checkered (a late yellow and green-white-checkered would have really stirred things up). Slap really let it out this time and got out to a commanding lead. In the closing laps he was able to use the cushion to feather the throttle and save some fuel and cross the line with 0.2 gallons left as 2nd and 3rd coasted to the finish.
Congrats Slap, great race, you really deserve it running up front every week.
Hope to see everyone for our Sunday night PCC race at 9pm PST, and next week for the next Sprintcup race at Infineon on Saturday at 9pm PST.

| ~bTp~ PCC League Race 5 - Adelaide |

Todd Op Down Under
The tight street circuit of Adelaide would be the next test for the ~bTp~ PCC Porsche Mobile Super Cup league. And if the sharp corners, with absolutely unforgiving walls wasn't enough, add in some challenging curbing and a wicked chicane at the end of the front stretch to spice things up. It was almost a given that there would be some air caught by someone, at some point in the race, the real question was "how much air would they catch"?
As usually, qualifying was very competitive; if you want to win here you need to be able to do more than just a quick lap, you need to run quick laps for the entire 35 minutes without a mistake. Before long, the cars were lined up on the grid, engines revving, anticipating the drop of the green. The cars launched off the line, and the skill and composure of all involved passed the test of the first run through the chicane, the real test would be one of attrition, endurance, and patience. Lots of action throughout, as the field strung itself out a little bit in the early stages, while a couple cars out front started to stretch out from the pack. By quarter race, some of the early notions were starting to be questioned, this didn't look like a take it easy race, there were real battles going on all over the circuit, and the cars out front we keen on keeping it close and not letting anyone run out to a lead. As anticipated though, that chicane was seeing action. Several points throughout the race, as drivers didn't quite position their Porsches exactly right through the steep curves of the first chicane, tires left the ground. Some were able (lucky) to land and continue in a semi-straight fashion, others caught less fortunate landings. This corner was the place to be to spectate for the entire race, no doubt!
In no time, scheduled pit stops were under way. As in previous races the strategies would differ; pit early and get out on fresh rubber to hopefully make up some ground or gain a little space, or stretch the fuel and tires to pit later and have a little more machine for the finish. The breakaway group, now close to 10 seconds out would use differing strategies, as 1 pit on the early side, and the other pit later. When both re-entered the track the gap was nearly as small as before the stops, this would be a real race.
For 35 minutes the lead cars were in close proximity, and at the finish the gap was less than 1 second. Flag to flag, and under consistent pressure, Todd Oppenheimer hangs to claim the victory.
Thanks to all who participated, and congrats to Todd for a great race!

1. At the drop of the green flag dont jump on the gas. There is to be no passing attemps until turn to help ensure good clean starts.
2. Keep your driving clean and the green flag
chatter down.
3. Hold Your Line...THERE ARE OTHERS ON THE
TRACK!!!
4. No Blocking! Faster cars will find a way to
pass, if you hold your line.
5. Keep your cool, Rubbin is racing.... Courteous,
considerate drivers only!
~~~~~~~~~~~~Yellow Flag
Rules~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Everyone needs to stay in position, letout
of the gas and catch the pace car, unless it is the last lap of the race. The
last lap of the race is the only time when drivers will race to the line.
2. Within 5 laps to go all lapped vehicles must
pit after the lead cars, and line up at the tail end. You dont have a free pass
to the front of the lead lap cars. Last thing leaders need is a lapped car
racing them.
3. When entering pits stay in the right lane
until it is time to peel off for your pit. This will ensure your cars damage
free thru your pit stop.
Rules are subject to change due to
future events.
We are newb friendly, to those that want to learn,
ask for help.
